2007 Wedding Floral Trends
Article submitted by Taslim Samji, Dream Wedding Flowers

Choosing your floral arrangements is a key element of wedding planning.  With so many options brides (and grooms) can decide on flowers and designs that truly reflect their personalities, as well as style. This is so more than ever, especially with the trends that we are seeing.

In the past, the bridal bouquet matched the attendants' bouquets, as well as the corsages and boutonnières.  Creativity and color are in style. Hand tied colorful blooms make a striking statement and the use of bold color ribbon is growing in popularity. Traditionally wedding flowers have been white, symbolizing purity and fidelity. However, how you embrace the white can make a dramatic difference to the mood and tone of your wedding. The selection of flowers and use of foliage can transform any bouquet or arrangement from simple to stunning.

Winter wedding floral trends usually include a richer, more diverse color array, as well as an assortment of textures. The 2006/2007 floral trend is no different, but adds a little glamour and excitement to bouquets and arrangements using jewel accents such as faux pearls or crystals. Berries are also a favorite, but not limited to the winter season.

With the arrival of each season brings about new inspirations pertinent to the time of year. With spring comes a feeling of youthful energy which is an inspiration all to itself and is easily expressed with soft pastel floral creations.  We are and will continue to see a greater use of foliage and the pale green colour in floral designs.

Remember, individuality is in style. Every wedding is unique in its own way and incorporating the distinct personal style of a bride and groom is the best way to go.  This is your chance to make a statement about yourselves, as husband and wife.
