The more information you put on a shower invitation, the less phone questions you have to answer later. Below is a list of points you can include, omit anything you don’t feel comfortable with or doesn’t apply to you.

What to include with the invitation

The bride’s full name
Date and time
The address
If the shower is at a private home a map is a good idea
Describe the theme if necessary
Describe the type of food that will be served: hors d’oeurves, barbecue, afternoon tea, pot luck, etc, if necessary
RSVP information (optional)
Registry information (optional)
The groom’s full name (optional)
If children are welcomed or not (optional)
