These are super easy to make and quite frugal. Not only are they a wonderful favor, but the add to the décor of any table. I made over 100 in about an hour for a friends wedding, and the looked beautiful on the tables. Once again supplies came from the dollar store, a frugal brides favorite store! Change the colours to suit you needs these where done in classic white.

Supplies and Cost

Frosted votive holders ($1 each)
White Tea light candles (bag of 200 for $5.99)
¼” ribbon ($1 for a 20 yard spool)
Silk roses (one large rose per holder, we used 17 stems with 6 roses on each, $17)
Name cards (we used cardstock and a word processing program to make ours, cost for card stock $2.99 for 120 sheets Wal-Mart)
Silver Gel Pen ($2)
Glue gun
Glue sticks

  • Measure the height of your votive holder to determine the size of thank you card you’ll need, ours where 2” high and 3 ½” wide.
  • Using a word processing program type up and print them out, leave space above the thank you to write the guest name. Our thank you simply said:

Thank you for helping to make this day so special.
Jane & John Doe
September Fifth, Two Thousand and One

Write the guests names above the thank you, if you know somebody who does calligraphy you could get them to do it, if not use a gel pen.

  • Center the card on the holder attach using a dab of glue at each corner.
  • Measure the ribbon to fit around the base of the holder and attach with a dab of hot glue.

  • Put a candle in the bottom of each holder.
  • Remove the flowers from their stems.
  • Place one flower in each holder.

The finished product!

This could also be done one for each couple to help cut down on costs too but $128.98 for 100 of these cute favors is still very frugal, plus they do double duty as table decorations and look very elegant.
