Wedding Pew Markers
Article Submitted by Adrienne Russell

Supplies

  • Styrofoam plates
  • Tissue paper
  • Ribbon
  • Glue gun and glue sticks
  • Pencil
  • Faux pearls

*All purchased from the dollar store.

How To :

Cut a circle out of the middle of the Styrofoam plates. It doesn't matter if the edges aren't smooth - it will be covered by the tissue flowers.

  1. Cut circles out of tissue paper, approximately 10 cm in diameter. Place the eraser end of the pencil in the middle of the circle and form the tissue around the pencil.
  2. Place a small dab of glue about half way between the outside and inside edges of the wreath. Press the eraser end of the pencil, with the tissue circle on it, onto the glue. Place the tissue circles approximately 1 inch apart all around the wreath.
  3. After you have gone once around the wreath, fill in the spaces in between the tissue circles with more tissue circles. You may want to place the dab of glue slightly closer to the outside edge of the wreath.
  4. Glue the faux pearls (I used different sizes and shades) sporadically to the tissue. I rolled up little balls of tissue and placed them inside some of the "flowers" to make the pearls closer to the top of the flower.
  5. Finish with a piece of ribbon, glued to the back of the wreath.

Could also be made for the front door of the church.
