Frugalbride.com Babbling Bride Board Rules
Flaming, Bashing, and Trolling
Hate posts and personal attacks will not be tolerated on the Babbling Brides Bulletin Board. Treat others on this message board as you would expect them to treat you. Talking trash about another user is a quick way to get banned, as is posting topics specifically to provoke a negative response from another member (aka trolling). We will not tolerate the use of our board to spread malicious intent.Profanity
Keep offensive language to a minimum. A good rule to follow: "when in doubt, leave it out." You don't have to use excessive profanity to get your point across, and it's usually better to avoid it altogether. If at any point, Darsi and Judy find that profanity is being used excessively, we will edit your post accordingly.
Questionable Content
Since we can't have a rule to cover everything, this is the rule to, COVER EVERTHING. These are public boards, so act like you would if you were in a public place. These issues are left to the discretion of Judy & Darsi, but may include any material that is knowingly false and/or defamatory, misleading, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, that otherwise violates any law, or that encourages conduct constituting a criminal offence.Vendor Solicitation
The simple rule is that we only allow participation by vendors who are paying advertisers on this board. Even so, there are still restrictions, which we have detailed here ... http://www.frugalbride.com/vendorrules.html ... as to how vendors are allowed to participate. Any vendor that does not follow these guidelines will have their membership revoked. Any vendor that attempts to register under a false name and/or to pose as a bride will have their membership revoked immediately.Bride's Promoting
Frugalbride.com is asked regularly by brides whether or not they can promote their service and/or product on the board, whether it be under the "sale" areas or elsewhere and the main question is whether or not that is promoting and/or in some instances they wish to promote the services of their spouse and/or relative. If you ask yourself "Is the idea and/or potential in my promoting to make money from this product or service?" and the answer is "Yes", then you cannot do so on Frugalbride.com without paying to advertise. In all fairness to the vendors that do pay us for the added bonus of being able to communicate and sell their services to potential clients, this is not an allowed practice.Vendor Reviews and/or Service Opinions
Our board is visited regularly by individuals who have used the services of vendors for weddings and/or other events. And although this forum is meant to be a location for open conversation, if a negative review is placed on our forum and we are contacted by the vendor in question and asked to remove this post, we will do so. Frugalbride.com is not responsible for the comments made by our members in relation to services provided.Dealing with Offenders
Our policy is "0" tolerance for behaviour that destroys the community environment and/or puts our members under duress, stress or attempts to divide the community. All posts that fall into the above stated situations will be deleted for the betterment of the community. If the offender reposts and/or begins another conversation relating to and/or implying relation to the previous behaviour, that post will also be deleted and the member will then have their membership revoked.By registering at the Babbling Brides Board, the user agrees that any post may be REMOVED at the sole discretion of the moderators. Frugalbride.com also has the right, at its sole discretion, to revoke board privileges at any time. Think of these rules as a forewarning and, if you break them, you're taking your account status into your own hands.
